Letters of Intent

Letters of Intent

Dear LPP,

You did not win. I don't like you and I never will, but for the sake of the family, I will be cordial and two-faced. Telling nasty and hurtful lies get you nowhere. Maybe perhaps if you had said these hurtful things to my face, I wouldn't be blogging about it. I will just hit on a few lies/truths.
  • I have NEVER sat my fat butt on the couch every night and left my kids to fend for themselves. At the time, all of these things were said, they were ages 2 and 6. I have NEVER made MJ fix her and SE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you had any inkling what you were talking about, you might have found out that they don't even like PB&Js!
  • I NEVER came to your place of business and bashed my own husband.
  • I DO NOT and HAVE NEVER neglected my kids, how dare you say those things about me. Let's talk about SE coming home from daycare with doo doo caked in her butt crack and her underwear - that's neglect sister!!
  • How dare you tell SE's daycare teachers she has a serious medical condition. You aren't a doctor or a nurse, so leave the diagnosing of illnesses to the medical professionals.

There are so many other things I want to say, but I'll save that for if/when you have the nerve to ever confront me.

Letters of Intent

Dear Co-Worker,

You seriously irriate the stew out of me! We work for the same person, but for some reason, I'm the only one busting my hump every day! I am so tired of you sleeping, staring at your computer all day, you constantly tell our boss you are working on something, but I never hear you making phone calls and "working on it." When another attorney in our office asks for OUR help, you never do your part, you keep the work untouched for so long that someone eventually takes it from you to do themselves. I'm so tired of hearing you hum all day. I had rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard than your humming. AND, what's up with that rolling cart? I cringe when I hear you pulling that thing down the hall every morning making your way to your desk. What all do you carry around that needs to be brought in on a rolling cart? UGH!!!!

The Birds and The Bees

the birds and the bees Pictures, Images and Photos

MJ is barely 8 years old....I personally do not think it's time to have "the talk" with her yet for
many reasons. What bugs me is when older kids at daycare seem to think it's cute to talk about things that I believe are inappropriate talk for little girls. Here's how the conversation went yesterday:

MJ: Did you know you have to have sex to have babies?

Me: Who told you that and what exactly did they tell you. I'm not mad, I just need to know.

MJ: "B" at daycare told me. What is sex anyway?

Me: You don't know?

MJ: No I don't.

Me: Well, let's not talk about it in front of Sarah right now.

MJ: Okay!

She forgot about it thank goodness. I know that sounds like a cop out, but neither one of us are ready for that talk. I'm all about talking about the changes she might be experiencing in the next year or so (so many of her friends are already experiencing those changes), but not the sex part. Some parents feel the need to give their kids details, but not me. The time will come soon enough. I need to make a trip to the bookstore!!!

Alabama State Fair

Last night, we went to the Alabama State Fair with some friends and their kids. We had the best time! I know people say oh those rides aren't safe, but have you ever heard of tragic accidents happening? I don't! The kids rode almost every ride, the adults rode on quite a few too. As I'm riding a crazy roller coaster called the Crazy Mouse, I kept having flashes of the movie Final Destination 3 (I think) and there is a wicked roller coaster scene and as the car of the roller is spinning the same time it's running on the tracks, I'm thinking I'm on a roller coaster at the fair that is jacked up with cross ties and I'm gonna die right here tonight as I'm laughing hysterically till my stomach hurt!!! I obviously survived and didn't kick the bucket!

There were alot of fun houses for the kids to run through and they really enjoyed that. Then all of the kids and mothers decided to get on the Tilt A Whirl. Apparently, there was a fella on there not real thrilled about the ride. Now I didn't see all of this taking place, thank goodness, but according to Big Daddy and friends and the look on the Carnie's face, apparently this fella started throwing up on the ride. Big Daddy said the more he threw up, the more the Carnie spun that guys' cart around. I didn't know the spinning was controlled by the workers. My friend Shannan and I laughed so hard until our stomachs hurt and I literally feel like I have a hangover today. My guess would be that us adults had more fun than the kids did!

Goal!

MJ and SE started soccer this month. It's the first time for SE and second time for MJ, but MJ hasn't played in 3 years. They both wanted to play and SE needs it to run off some of that energy and MJ needs it because she is a lazy bum, just like her momma!!! It's so fun to watch the littles one play. SE's first game, her team stood around the center circle while the other team scored a goal! MJ's first game was.....well, let's just leave it at this.....MJ's team lost 5-1!

Mission Impossible

For some time now, I've admired moms whose houses are organized, moms who use coupons and save perhaps thousands of dollars every year on grocery items, toiletries, that kind of thing. After doing alot of research and talking with friends who I consider to be Coupon Queens, I've come across a couple of great websites that can hopefully teach me how to organize my coupons and weekly ads from my fav stores. Two things that will make it easier for me would be some time at home to organize without interruptions and time on the computer. Neither of which I get very often. :-) Such is life. I'm also on a mission to organize my home. I can't ever find anything and nothing is where it should be. Even if it is in its proper place, I still can't find it! What's up with that? I guess I'm not really that different from moms who have full time jobs and kids. I'm on a mission now.....we'll see what happens!!

Thirsty Thursday

My most favorite drink in the whole world!!! Mountain Dew Rocks!!!!

Changes

I made some changes to my blog.....no longer using my kids names, just their initials. Hubby is now known as Big Daddy....I refuse to be called Big Mamma!

Holiday Weekend

We had a fabulous Labor Day weekend! Friday night, I hung out with my girls while Big Daddy worked security at a high school football game. Saturday morning, we got up fairly early and went to the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. It was so fun and the girls had a really good time. They had a life size shuttle, with the rocket boosters and fuel tank, which is gigantor by the way.

They also had the Saturn V there and it was pretty darn cool too!

Then we grabbed some BBQ and went home to watch a little Alabama Football!!!

Unfortunately, MJ got a stomach bug and was throwing up all day on Sunday, so Big Daddy stayed home with her while SE and I went to church and then a trip to Walmart and we were pretty much lazy for the rest of the day. On Monday, we got our laundry finished up then went to Chicken Lay (That's what SE calls Chick-Fil-A) to get our free chicken sandwich for wearing our favorite team shirts, earrings, etc., then headed to Publix for a little grocery shopping. We had a good weekend despite being lazy and MJ being sick.

Ho Hum

So nothing has been happening lately. The girls started school without a hitch. They have already started soccer, their first game is September 12. YAY!!! They are going to have fun! Alabama football is starting this weekend, excited about that. Not much else is going on right now!
