Cut My Life Into Pieces...

Not real sure what the exact meaning of that is, BUT that's how I feel right now.  I still have a cast on my right arm for another month, then two weeks in a brace.  Meanwhile, Mike has been suffering from major back/sciatic problems.  3-4 days on two separate ocassions, he has been bedridden from either sciatic pain or headaches which everyone was convinced was just migraines, including myself, so sorry honey.  Not until he had a second epidural block did I realize the severity of his headaches.  So our second trip to the ER in a week, he was told that it was a spinal headache, but they couldn't get anyone there that was trained to give blood patches so they sent him home with pain meds and strict orders to lay flat on his back until this morning when he could call his pain doctor.  So his mom took himthis morning and he got a blood patch on the leak of spinal fluid that his doctor swore wasn't there, but okay, so why do the blood patch then?  Anyway, he's home sleeping and I hope I have my husband back soon.  He needs to get better for himself and for my sanity.
My Mom, Dad, little brother Clay and his girlfriend Alex came over yesterday, helped me get my house clean, socks folded (I know that sounds crazy, but I can't fold socks with a bum wrist) and got our grass cut.  I was getting a little overwhelmed.
A precious friend is bringing us dinner tonight and another precious friend asked for a grocery list and went to the store for us and i'm picking it up on my way home from work.
I've been very overwhelmed, in pain and just not in the mood to talk.  Ya know?
Any way, I hope everyone is doing okay!

Slippin' and Slidin'

Last Wednesday, I was in the shower getting ready to take Mike to get a spinal block for his back problems and I guess I just needed some attention and I slipped and fell in the shower and fractured my right wrist.  We took the kids next door so our cousin/neighbor could take them to daycare and Mike took me to the ER.  No one was there so they took me straight back, got x-rays and a splint.  We got finished in time to get him to have his block and his cousin got a ride over there so he could drive us home.  We both slept until the kids got home.  I really enjoyed that!  I have felt bad because Mike needed some TLC with his back problems, and I haven't been able to give him the TLC he needs.  I got a purple cast on Thursday and came back to work on Monday.  It's really hard to type.  Thankfully no surgery is in my future.  My kids have been such a big help to me!  I love them so much!!!

Hope everyone is well!
